Statement on New York attack
The following is a statement from Cllr Anne Underwood, Lord Mayor of ´ºÓêÖ±²¥, after yesterday's terror attack in New York City.
“I am once again deeply saddened by another appalling terrorist attack on innocent people; this time in New York City. On behalf of the people of ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ I send sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by this atrocity, including the emergency ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ responding.”
Flags will be lowered to half-mast at the Council House today as a mark of respect.
