Having a safe, secure and warm place to live is one of the most basic things that we need to have a healthy life.

In 2021 the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Poverty Truth Commission is doing a specific focused exploration of the issues of housing and health inequalities and this will report in 2022/23 through the Creating a City Without Inequalities Forum.

There is a lot of support and advice available if you are facing issues with housing, these include:

There are also specific charities supporting people who are at risk of becoming homeless or currently homeless, these include:

  • – a national charity working across homeless organisations
  • – a national charity working on homelessness with a base in ´ºÓêÖ±²¥
  • – a regional charity working specifically with young people on homelessness
  • – a ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ charity providing day ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ for homeless people
