William Smedley-Aston collection
The William Smedley Aston Collection contains pictorial landscape and portrait studies (carbon, gum, platinum and albumen prints), glass negatives, competition medals, family photographs including members of the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Arts and Crafts Movement and the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Group such as Arthur Gaskin and Joseph Southall.
The collection, which covers the period c1890 to 1910, also includes a small body of portraits by Smedley Aston's fellow ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ photographer, Marianne Silverston.
