School and Governor support is available through ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ City Council (BCC) to maintained schools and academies for an annual subscription. It provides a range of ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ that support school leaders, school staff, governors, trustees and clerks to deal effectively with day-to-day leadership and management issues and create strong governance.

Subscribers have access to the following core elements of school and governor support:

• advice on routine matters relating to the day-management and governance
• updated guidance on managing key roles and responsibilities
• consultancy in more complex and challenging situations that requires a tailored solution leading to a satisfactory outcome

School and Governor support carries out routine oversight of governance on behalf of ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ City Council (BCC) at its maintained schools. The service works collaboratively with schools, other BCC education ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ and the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Education Partnership (BEP) to identify governing bodies in need of targeted support or additional challenge.
