This view shows the centre of ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ at the height of the Industrial Revolution, with the well-known civic buildings in the centre giving way to the chimneys and smoke-stacks of local industry. Curiously, this is a similar view of the city as can be seen from the roof of the Central Library.
